We have a solid program at our house

At Sigma Nu, we take scholarship very seriously. After all, your main purpose to attend college it for your education, and we want you to succeed! One of our objectives is to recruit people who are focused on their studies. However, no matter how well prepared you think you are, college is an experience that is unpredictable at times. As brothers, we’re there for each other, especially when it comes to grades. It’s almost guarunteed that someone living in the chapter house has taken a class that a new member is struggling in, and will offer support without hesitation.

We feel so seriously about our grades that we have mandatory study hours that must be collected by our Scholarship Chairman. We also have mid-semester grade reports that must be turned in as well. The purpose of these are not to annoy our members with yet another task to do relating to school, but to catch a small problem before it becomes worse.

Organization, time management, good study habits; these are all skills that are important to do well in class. And by no coincidence, these are all skills which you will find much easier to learn as a member of our house.

We also reward our excellent scholars. At the end of the semester those with the top 10 GPA’s in the house receive $100 back from their rent.

At the end of the day, it’s up to you to do well in your classes, but your brothers of the Gamma Tau chapter of Sigma Nu will always be there to help.
